The reasoning should be explained, not just the rule, because a worker who understands cross-contamination will apply the principle in situations the rule did not anticipate. Equipment operation, for anyone touching machinery. Startup, shutdown, correct pad or brush, water and chemical loading, emergency stop, and what sounds and smells indicate a problem. Damaged equipment is almost always damaged by untrained operation. Safety protocols covering wet floor signage, electrical awareness, working at height restrictions, manual handling technique and emergency evacuation routes. Conduct and interaction, which is frequently omitted entirely. How to respond when an occupant speaks to you, what to do when asked to perform work outside scope, and how to report an incident. Finally, escalation. Who to call, in what order, for what categories of problem, and the fact that escalating early is correct rather than an admission of inadequacy. Induction delivered properly takes three days. Delivered improperly, it takes three years of corrective supervision.
